ARAYAN BROTHERHOOD IS ATTACKING BLACKEST CITY IN AMERICA (JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI"S METROCENTER MALL)?
First and foremost, I smell complete BULL$HIT and I think this is all staged to bring attention and possibly even an insurance scam (but that's strictly my opinion and I have no facts or proof to back that up)
JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - What unfolded at the Metrocenter could be something seen on a movie set, but it’s all too real for a Jackson filmmaker encountering armed thieves while building his studio.
Curtis Nichouls has been in some dangerous situations while constructing a home for his Sweet Unknown South Studios.
The production company is overcoming obstacles while trying to transform the second floor of the Dillard’s building into Jackson Police offices and a classroom.
“It’s been a lot. A lot of stuff got stolen,” said Sweet Unknown South CEO Curtis Nichouls.
He continues renovations despite contending with armed thieves breaking into the building and stealing copper, cameras, drones, construction equipment, and more.
The Jackson filmmaker is in the process of building sets, editing suites, and a first-floor full kitchen.
He said Jackson Police informed him the Aryan Brotherhood was transporting the copper to Houston for a Mexican cartel.
“It’s worth it for me. It’s not a situation where I’m scared. I didn’t even know they were the Ayran Brotherhood,” said Nichouls. “I just knew that they had guns, and they were stealing. They would come in with tools and cut their way through the doors, and they were stealing my equipment.”
Nichouls said Jackson Police has been vigilant in responding to the crimes, and he’s making progress.
“We’re looking at cast right now,” said the production company head. “We’re looking to bring in, I can’t name too many names until we have them locked in, but there’s a legend that I’ve been in talks with who’s getting his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next year.”
The area around and the road leading to the studio will also get an upgrade.
“It’s an old parking lot, hasn’t been in use, and needs a lot of repair,” said Sweet Unknown South Chief Operating Officer and Partner Dr. Allison Bailey. “There’s a few places with sinkholes. So we’ll want to fill those in and make sure that the whole area is safe.”
In November, filming starts on the second and third episodes of the Jackson-based crime drama “The Warrant Unit.”
