Ode to Pete Rose, and Election Update: Eric Arnold's PoliticsBarn, Ep. 33, 10-1-24

Pete Rose died today. I've always been a Pete Rose fan, so I'm biased, but I think he got a raw deal. He broke rules. He lied. He also did a helluva lot for the game of baseball. In contrast, guys who tutted-tutted him, and kept him out of the Hall of Fame, like Bud Selig and Rob Manfred have done great damage to the game of baseball. Steroid era anyone? RIP, Pete Rose.

Trump is winning. This week there were numerous polls showing him doing well in Pennsylvania, Arizona, Georgia, even Michigan. The best of which was the Gallup, party preference poll, which has been uncannily accurate in predicting the winner of the popular vote. It's not over, but this is Trump's race to lose. Let's pray he doesn't.
