Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen to Week 3 of the GEFNFL!!

It was another great night for some football. Started off with a 4 vs 4 game, then going to a 5 vs 5 game once the final player showed up with his son. Who joined in on the action to even the teams out.

Red Team started off with the ball. They wasted no time at all scoring their first touchdown of the night, with an amazing touchdown pass from Chris Montes De Oca over the top to Jeremy Bartlett. Blue Team makes an effort to drive back down the field but fails to convert on a fourth downplay. Red Team then starts another drive just to get picked off by Omar Orozco. Setting Blue Team up for their next drive, and with a couple great passes manages to score a touchdown with a short redzone pass from Kyle Weideman to Alex Schott for their first touchdown of the night.

Red Teams makes their way back down the field on their next drive with a couple great plays, and a touchdown catch and run from Todd Polczynski to Nick Tehan. Blue Team then starts their next drive down in the 10-yard line but gets picked off by Chris Montes De Oca, setting up Red Team in good position but then gets stopped on the 1-yard line by Blue Teams Defense. (This is around the time we went from 4 vs 4 to 5 vs 5)

Blue Team manages to put together a great drive back down the field with a couple great passes but gets pick off by Jeremy Bartlett. Setting up Red Team for another great drive down the field with a couple big plays and despite getting sacked Chris Montes De Oca still throws touchdown pass to Nick Tehan.

Blue Team makes it back down the field on their next drive with some great plays and puts up another touchdown with a big touchdown pass from Dave Torres to Tyler Jones. Red Team tries to get another drive going but gets stopped by Blue Teams defense before they could pick up the first down. Setting up Blue Team in great position to drive back down the field with a few more great plays and puts up another touchdown with a pass from Tyler Jones to Dave Torres.

Red Team starts their next drive gets a few plays in. when a what looked like a fox at first, which we believe was actually a coyote wanders close to the edge of the field.

Red Team tries a nice pitch back and pass deep play, but Blue Teams defense is ready for it and gets picked off once again by Omar Orozco. Blue Team drives back down the field with a couple more great passes, and another touchdown pass from Kyle Weideman to Tyler Jones Despite getting sacked once.

Red Team gets a great drive going back down the field, with a couple big plays and a great touchdown pass from Nick Tehan to Rookie 14-year-old Carter Torres making his first GEFNFL Start! Possibly the youngest to play in this league!

Blue Team then puts together another great drive back down the field and puts up another touchdown with a redzone pass from Omar Orozco to Kyle Weideman.

It is now Carter's first drive as quarterback for Red Team. With a couple short quick passes to Nick Tehan and Todd Polczynski he makes is way to midfield. On the next play with his dad blitzing him. He scrambles to his right keeping his eyes downfield. Finds Nick Tehan open in the flat and makes an amazing throw on the move taking them down to about the 5-yard line! Then on the next play finds Todd Polczynski in the middle of the endzone for a touchdown!

Blue Team then gets a good kickoff return but gets stopped on a fourth downplay on Red Teams 5-yard line. Red Team makes another good attempt at driving back down the field with a couple more big plays but stopped at the 1-yard line. Blue Team pinned at the 1-yard line needs some breathing room. Dave Torres back as quarterback drops back scrambles to his right, finds Omar Orozco open up the sideline throws a deep pass to him. Who then takes it up the sideline for 99-yard touchdown pass and run!!

Red Team then takes their next drive all the way back down the field but gets stopped once again on a fourth downplay at Blue Teams 20-yard line. Blue Team then starts driving back down the field, only to get stopped by Red Teams defense at their 20-yard line. Red Team makes a nice run play to try to get something going but then gets picked off once again by Omar Orozco! Setting up Blue Teams final drive of the night, and with a couple great plays they make their way back down the field. Putting up the final touchdown of the night with a redzone pass from Kyle Weideman to Omar Orozco.

Red - 5 TDs, 2 INTs, 2 Sacks,

Blue - 7 TDs, 3 INTs, 2 Sacks,

This turned out to be another great game!!
