IGN's Woke Bias: Refuses to Review Lollipop Chainsaw RePop Remaster!
It’s clear that IGN's refusal to review Lollipop Chainsaw RePop has stirred frustration. Their recent behavior fits a familiar pattern from woke media, dodging content that doesn’t align with their increasingly narrow ideological stance. This isn't just a case of poor journalism—it's about catering to an audience that prioritizes woke messaging over genuine game reviews. IGN, long hailed as a gaming authority, seems more interested in pandering to a woke liberal agenda, which is why Lollipop Chainsaw's cult-classic charm is underappreciated.
Despite Lollipop Chainsaw RePop being a remake of a beloved title, IGN’s non-review essentially dismisses it due to concerns it might "trigger" their woke staff members—cue the classic they/them dodge. Instead of a fair analysis or updated review, they chose to stand by their outdated and harsh 5/10 score from Mitch Dyer, which many gamers feel was unfair even then. Let’s be real: if a buggy, narrative-driven mess like Dustborn gets a 7, and the now-failed Concord can float by with a higher rating, why is Lollipop Chainsaw RePop still being shunned?
Woke gaming media, like IGN, has fallen into a trap where they prioritize cultural critiques over gaming enjoyment. We’ve all seen this before with woke accusations against games like Resident Evil 5, where even good titles get sidelined due to so-called 'problematic' content. It's not just Lollipop Chainsaw—we're seeing this trend across the board, with games like Stellar Blade and even GTA 6 rumored to face woke censorship.
IGN is far from alone. Woke Hollywood, woke Disney, and woke media in general have infected all forms of entertainment. Whether it’s woke tiktok mobs or woke characters inserted into games, the focus has shifted away from making fun, entertaining content to appeasing a vocal minority. Look at woke outrage over the new Star Wars Outlaws or woke Ubisoft's ongoing issues, where their CEO himself can’t seem to stop pandering.
If IGN’s avoidance of Lollipop Chainsaw is any indication, they’re only continuing to push an agenda that doesn’t reflect actual gamers' tastes. We’re left with woke gaming reviews that feel more like lecture notes from a college class on gender studies than genuine assessments of what makes a game fun or worth playing. Maybe it’s time for IGN and the rest of the media to get back to the roots of what they were supposed to be doing: reviewing games, not pushing woke narratives. If they refuse, their irrelevance in gaming circles is inevitable.
This woke nonsense is only pushing gamers further away. Let's be real—games like Lollipop Chainsaw aren’t problematic, offensive, or dangerous. They’re just fun. And if IGN can't handle that, maybe it’s time for them to step aside.
