On Day 234 of my sobriety, I listened to Dan Vasc's cover of "It’s My Life" by Bon Jovi, and wow, what a powerful rendition! This song has always meant a lot to me, and hearing Dan's version made me reflect on the importance of living life on my own terms.

Before the music, I talked about how crucial it is to find your own way in life, rather than simply copying others. I’ve attended many recovery meetings, and while I’ve met people with the kind of mental peace I aspire to, I’ve never met someone living a life I want to replicate exactly. That’s a good thing. I don’t want to copy—I want to create. I want to live a life that’s uniquely mine, something I can be proud of.

Reflecting on time, I realize how fast the years go by. If I had known 20 years would pass so quickly, maybe I would have done things differently. But I’m here now, and it’s never too late to create a beautiful and meaningful life. It's my life, and it's your life too!

As for the music, I’ve been a Bon Jovi fan since I was a kid, so hearing Dan Vasc give this iconic song such a powerful cover just made my day. Great job, Dan! Thank you for reminding me to seize the moment.
