At a time when secular rationalism is being emphasized, and passion for religious commitment has grown stale. Christian preachers emerge to speak enthusiastically about the gospel, and the result is a renewed dedication to the Christian faith. This is either the Great Awakening of the late seventeen hundreds, or a new awakening for a modern time. Instead of George Whitefield traveling through the UK and America you have Russell Brand, Jordan Peterson and Joe Rogan hosting conversations for millions of people to listen in on. Many people who would be otherwise antagonistic to the Christian faith find themselves curiously curious about it.
At the same time as these podcasters facilitate some kind of awakening, the Christian church is struggling to keep pastors free of scandal (we touch briefly on the recent events in Steven Lawson’s life). This dependency on preachers and pastors seems to be going through a correction and the communion of the saints and the priesthood of all believers may be what the Church leans on for the future.

I explore the connection between theology, humanity, history and culture. I do this in the hopes of creating meaningful dialogue with others. I am creating dialogues with Jordan Peterson, Joe Rogan, Russel Brand and other powerful voices in culture.
