Greek oligarch Vardis Vardinogiannis profits from Israel's genocide

Vardis Vardinogiannis is a Greek billionaire. He’s the chairman and controlling shareholder of Motor Oil Hellas. His company is profiting from Israel's genocide by trading in oil products with Israel's genocidal regime, which uses those products for military purposes.

On September 28, 2024, Greek workers and other pro-Palestinian activists gathered in the coastal town of Agioi Theodoroi, which lies about 70 kilometres West of Athens, to condemn Vardinogiannis and his company.

Motor Oil Hellas operates a refinery in Agioi Theodoroi.

Dimitri Lascaris attended the protest and spoke with one of the organizers, Margarita Koutsanellou. Margarita is the General Secretary of the Greek Workers' Trade Union of ELGO DIMITRA.

According to Margarita, Greece' Palestinian solidarity movement is determined to expose all Greeks who are complicit in Israel's genocide, and will not stop protesting until the right-wing Greek government of Kyriakos Mitsotakis abandons his pro-Israel policies.
