Hezbollah reportedly placed an order for around 5,000 pagers from Taiwan, a nation known for producing about 90% of the world’s most advanced semiconductors. These pagers were intended for Lebanon.

What makes this story particularly fascinating is what allegedly took place during the shipment process.

At some point during the transit, it is believed that a spy agency intercepted the shipment and tampered with the pagers. They covertly modified the internal components by replacing one of the two identical batteries with a hidden explosive device.

The alteration was done so discreetly that it went completely unnoticed. After making the changes, the modified pagers were quietly sent back to Hezbollah, as if nothing had happened.
