The Tokoloshe (Southern Africa)

The Tokoloshe is one of the most infamous supernatural creatures in Southern African folklore. It's said to be a small, malevolent creature created through witchcraft to cause harm. It can make itself invisible, sneak into homes at night, and often targets people while they sleep. To prevent Tokoloshe attacks, many people sleep with their beds raised on bricks or other platforms.
