Il Fantasma di Corleone/The Ghost of Corleone

The Ghost of Corleone is a 2006 documentary film directed by Marco Amenta. Audio in Italian with English subtitles.

The film is an investigation that reconstructs the story of the boss of bosses Bernardo Provenzano : from his climb to the top of the Cupola to the end of his very long period as a fugitive. An intense and painful road movie with disturbing testimonies, trial depositions, statements by judges, lawyers and investigators, punctuated by chase scenes reconstructed with the pace of a thriller.

The forty-year period as a fugitive of the Cosa Nostra boss ends on 11 April 2006 when Provenzano is arrested in a farmhouse near Corleone.
