Ukrainian Army Captures 20 Russian Soldiers at Recaptured Vovchansk Plant

Ukrainian forces have successfully recaptured the Vovchansk Aggregate Plant after more than a week of fighting. During the operation, about two dozen Russian soldiers were captured, while dozens more were killed. According to a scout codenamed Viking, four Russian invaders were also killed while trying to escape the plant. The operation marks one of the biggest strategic successes for Ukrainian forces in retaking a heavily defended area since the beginning of the war.

The complex is considered a very difficult stronghold to capture, requiring the involvement of special units from the Ukrainian Defense Intelligence and the Russian Volunteer Corps. Although there have been rumors of close-quarters fighting at the plant, these incidents have reportedly been limited and have not involved many Russian troops. With this success, Ukrainian forces are ready to resume operations south of Vovchansk and retake other key positions.
