Clarence "Ducky" Nash was frequently sent out on publicity tours tying in with Walt Disney films. This went back to when Walt was alive himself. In 1981 to promote the studio's latest animated feature, Nash went on the Today Show to be interviewed by their resident film critic Gene Shalit. Shalit fulfilled this role on the Today Show from 1970 until his retirement in 2010.

Nash had been the performer behind Donald from the very beginning but sometimes provided voice and sound effects to other characters such in The Fox & The Hound. We also get to see Nash performing with one of the Donald Duck ventriloquist dummies that the Studio Character Model Dept built for him. Nash would travel making personal appearances with this dummy but the design was later updated. Nash's final appearance as Donald Duck was in Mickey's Christmas Carol. He passed away in 1985.
