Pathogeniz fuzz material, moving indepently, caused a raven to die

This fuzz was attached to a sick, dying raven brought in for rehabilitation.
This video was recorded in an enclosed room, with no drafts, fans, air conditioning, etc. It is the fuzz material moving itself. It frequently exhibits this type of movement; raising two of it"arms" (for lack of a better term), and waving them back and forth at a target.
I am unsure of the reason it does this; when I have sat and watched it do this for extended amounts of time, it has always caused spiders or insects to eventually start charging towards me. (I've had this happen with at least 12 different units of pathogentic fuzz, in different locations).
