CLASS #439: A Progressive Argument for 'Socializing Property'

We continue our series on the Founders of the American Progressive movement of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Today's class will be covering an excerpt from Walter Rauschenbusch's book, "Christianizing the Social Order." In it, Rauschenbusch explains why he believes property needs to be socialized. He argues from what he claims to be a 'Christian perspective,' but, in doing so, he demonstrates his agenda has nothing to do with Scripture. We hope you'll join us as we take another dive into the mindset of the founders of the Progressive movement by reading their own words.

We are working from Ronald J. Pestritto's book, "American Progressivism:"
