Today's TOPIC: THE WORD IS ENOUGH.

SCRIPTURE: And the Lord appeared again in Shiloh: for the Lord revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the Lord.
1st Samuel 3 verse 21. Hallelujah!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The blind quest to hear voices has turned some people into false prophets.

It has been confirmed that a major source of conceiving an authentic vision for life and destiny is the Word of God. Out of the Scripture you can get a vision for your life, career, business, ministry and destiny.

However, it is sad to know that many people despise the Word and look for voices. And the blind quest to hear voices has turned some people into false prophets. This has even made some people to hear strange voices, that is, the voice of demons or devils.

When we were growing up in the Lord many years ago, there were some believers who were so strongly obsessed with hearing voices. And their obsession to hear voices made them begin to hear all kinds of strange voices. Some of them even saw strange beings that they called “angels” writing on the wall every day.

Whereas Daniel saw the writing on the wall once, these people would see writings on walls almost every day by these strange beings. One would write while the other would read the writing. It was terrible! I remember one of these brothers said one day, “I just saw an angel now taking blood from my external jugular vein.” There were all manner of strange things they claim to have seen.

Sadly today, most of those people who claimed to have seen visions of angels in those days are not in ministry at all. They kept following strange voices until they faded out. This is one danger of esteeming voices above the Word of God.

1st Samuel 3 verse 21 says,
And the Lord appeared again in Shiloh: for the Lord revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the Lord.

God came through the Word to talk to Samuel. Beloved, God wants to talk to you through His Word. Don’t look for strange voices. Sit down with the Word.

Remember this: The blind quest to hear voices has turned some people into false prophets.

Take this ASSIGNMENT with you:

#1. Don’t fall into the temptation of exalting hearing voices above the Word of God.

#2. Sit down with the Word and let God speak to you. Yes sir!

Our PRAYER today: Lord, I ask that You deliver me from the danger of exalting hearing voices above Your Word. I receive the grace to sit down with the Scripture so I can hear You speak to me, Lord, in Jesus Name. Amen!

Nahum chapter 3, Woe to the bloody city!It is all full of lies and robbery.Its victim never departs. The noise of a whip And the noise of rattling wheels,Of galloping horses,Of clattering chariots! Habakkuk chapter 1, The burden which the prophet Habakkuk saw. O Lord, how long shall I cry,And You will not hear?Even cry out to You, “Violence!”And You will not save. Why do You show me iniquity,And cause me to see trouble?For plundering and violence are before me;There is strife, and contention arises. Shall they therefore empty their net,And continue to slay nations without pity? Hallelujah!
