Jimmy Dore: The president doesn't control the CIA

"Donald Trump got elected. First of all, everybody loved Donald Trump up until he got elected. All right, I'm talking about the establishment, right? He was my whole life, my whole adult life, he was welcomed on every late night talk show, he guest hosted Saturday Night Live. Oprah said that they should run for president together. The women of The View said they loved him. I just posted a video of Stephen Colbert saying, thanking him for running for president and how everybody loves Donald Trump. They gave him his own network television show for over 10 years and Hollywood gave him Emmy nominations. They'd all got together, their kids are all best friends. They all went to each other's third and fourth weddings. They loved him. They loved Donald Trump, right? Until he became president. And why is that?
Because they the deep state, the blob, which is run by billion. So get back to my original point. When he started to talk out about the deep state and the blob, the CIA controlling things and the war machine and the military industrial complex, Chuck Schumer went on Rachel Maddow's show and she said, boy, for a guy who says he's really smart, he's being really dumb to criticize the CIA. Cause if you do that, they've got six ways the Sunday to get back at you. And so what he revealed at that moment, was that the president doesn't control the CIA, that the CIA doesn't work for the president.
So if they don't work for the president who exactly do they work for? Well, that would be the question I would follow up with. And of course, Rachel Maddow, who works for the same people that the CIA worked for, she didn't ask that question. But that's the obvious question to ask. And so that's the big problem with Donald Trump. And you don't have to like Donald Trump or not like Donald Trump, but you can realize that what they're doing to Donald Trump, they would do to anybody who they consider a rogue. They're doing it to Elon Musk.
Elon Musk is a defense contractor, he's in bed with NASA, the military industrial complex, but he wants that he's a rogue billionaire. He stepped out of line a little by allowing a little bit of free speech on Twitter. And they immediately demonize him as the worst thing a right-wing Hitler type, just like what they did to Trump. And they're banning him and Robert Reich wrote a column saying that they should throw him in jail. So that's a former Clinton advisor, a Clinton staff member, cabinet secretary of labor. So that, and they know, they all know better. They all know what they're doing. So they all work for the blob."
