Jay is turning into one of my favorite guests. He absolutely believes in freedom, especially the freedom to travel, so I can see us working on a few bills as time goes on, especially if Trump gets elected.

One of my personal automotive crusades is the preservation of the manual transmission, affectionately known as the "stick shift." The best ones have a gear shift on the floor. I was never a fan of column shifters, and I have no idea how the push button ones worked in the 50's and 60's.

Going with the general theme that cars are completely over-regulated, over priced, and are all starting to look the same, it would be a real tragedy if the government and the car companies took out one of the last vestiges of true control and fun in driving, that of changing your own gears, when YOU want.
