Dachshund Cools Off in the Car

Info from Licensor: "This is Reese (the baby beast) aka Camping Dog cooling off after a walk on a hot day! She is an 18-year-old dachshund. It was taken at Wakami Lake Provincial Park at the end of July 2024, before we departed the park to head to another.

Reese is sitting atop her car throne! I stack all the blankets so they fill up the whole passenger side. I bring about 9 blankets on a camp trip of which only one is designated for me haha. I put her bed on top with some blankets. This way she can watch the scenery go by on our road trips. Reese loves to watch the scenery as we drive. She watches it more than she naps. But don’t worry, the passenger side airbag is off, and I fasten her up to the headrest with heavy-duty rope and clasps in case of an accident. This acts as a seat belt which I use a seatbelt harness with.

Me and Reese go on many camping adventures together, hence the nickname Camping Dog. I post her on Reddit under that moniker in the r/dachshund and r/oldmandog subreddits.

Since we started camping together 4 years ago, Reese has been to 15 camping parks. She loves to camp and the outdoors is her happy place! She’s a very adventurous spirit and her exploration is never done!"
