The Failure of THE ACOLYTE is WORSE Than We Thought | HUGE Disaster for Lucasfilm

It has been previously believed that Disney and Lucasfilm spent around $180 million to produce the latest Disney+ Star Wars series The Acolyte, and now new information is coming out to suggest the cost is closer to $230 million.

This means The Acolyte is the biggest financial failure for Disney Star Wars which is the reason the company announced soon after the last episode premiered that they’re not going to renew it for a second season. This news is a huge blow to Kathleen Kennedy since she was evidently sure this series was going to be a hit given how much the company spent. It’s never been more obvious how out-of-touch the management at Lucasfilm is with the paying customer.
