AOC says NYC mayor should resign ‘for good of city’ amid federal probes

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has called for Mayor Eric Adams to resign due to ongoing federal investigations impacting his administration.

In a tweet, she expressed concern that the recent wave of resignations and vacancies threatens the city’s governance and makes it difficult to maintain a qualified administration.

Adams has faced significant turnover, with several prominent officials, including former NYPD Commissioner Edward Caban and Health Commissioner Ashwin Vasan, resigning following federal raids on top aides and allies, the New York Post has reported.
