Written in the wild far north of Iceland, “Zoom Out” was inspired by loneliness and belonging. Loneliness is a common human experience, but when we zoom out and see how we are all connected—to nature, to each other, and to the universe—it shifts everything. There is comfort in knowing that no matter how small we may feel, we are part of a grander picture.

If you zoom out, this ocean is but a tiny ripple on a magnificent shining lake and you are not alone.

If you zoom out and this lake is a spring of joyful water from deep within you and you are not alone.

And this lake is a jewel gathered in the gorgeous curl in the corner of your eye, and you are not alone.

If you zoom out and you’ll notice this shining shard in the eyes of those who love you and you are not alone.

If you zoom in to see your own reflection in the lakes of your loved ones and you are not alone.

If you zoom in and they see themselves in yours and no one can be alone again, and you are not alone.
