"Get A Job" Homeless Social Experiment: The Harsh Reality of Rejection 😔

In this eye-opening social experiment, I explore the privilege of the working class and the harsh reality faced by the homeless. When people casually tell those begging for spare change to “get a job,” they often overlook the struggles and barriers that make it nearly impossible for them to find employment.

I set out to walk into numerous stores, asking for jobs in freezing 7-degree weather, only to be met with rejection after rejection. For 10 hours, I faced dismissal and indifference, receiving little more than $10.40 and a hot chocolate from a kind stranger.

This experience gave me a profound new perspective on homelessness and the challenges that come with it. Special thanks to the woman who bought me a hot chocolate and the officer who offered me $2 for coffee.
