Gareth Davies: Chancellor has been 'talking down the economy'

Shadow Treasury exchequer sectary says business and consumer confidence has "dipped" after Chancellor Rachel Reeves has been "talking down the economy".

Gareth Davies has told Sky News he believes one of the reasons the chancellor has been doing this is to "roll the pitch for tax rises" in the budget.

The chancellor is set to make a speech at Labour's party conference taking place in Liverpool today.
