The Forestry Mulcher Incident 😬

We rented a forestry mulcher to clear the road and cabin site on our property. Our property is a little over 10 acres of dense vegetation, which includes a variety of trees, shrubs, and other types of plants that have grown thick over the years. It would take weeks to get it cleared by hand, as the task is not only physically demanding but also time-consuming, making the mulcher a necessary piece of equipment for our project. After we picked up the machine on Friday night, we realized the trailer brakes had failed, which was quite concerning. However, it was late, and we had to get moving to make the most of our weekend. A 1 1/2 hour drive turned into 2 1/2 hours because we had to take it slow, relying only on the truck brakes for safety. Once we finally arrived, we unloaded the machine at the new property and headed to Cabin 1.0 for the night, where we settled in and prepared for a long day ahead. We were able to get an early start Saturday morning, fueled by excitement and determination, and we worked the mulcher pretty hard throughout the day until it unfortunately broke down. Despite this setback, we managed to clear a significant amount of property, but we didn’t get everything done that we had hoped for. We plan to rent a better mulcher in 3 weeks when we're able to go back out there, as we are eager to finish the job and transform our property into the beautiful cabin site we envision.
