Oklahoma City Police released video of an officer-involved shooting that happened on Labor Day.

Police responded to a home near S Shields Boulevard and Southeast 41st Street just before 4 p.m. after a man was reportedly firing shots at someone.

When police arrived on the scene, the suspect, identified as Mario Cruz, went inside the home and refused to come out.

Officers tried to communicate with Cruz in English and Spanish, but negotiations were unsuccessful.

The Oklahoma City Police Department's Tactical Unit was called in to help.

After several hours, Cruz crawled into the attic space of the home, opened a hole in the wall, and began firing shots at officers.

Cruz then jumped down from the attic crawl space and walked to the back of the home, where he confronted officers.

Police told him to drop the gun, but he did not comply.

An officer discharged his firearm, hitting Cruz.

He was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay.
