The Presence of God | What Prevents Entering God’s Presence?

In a world dominated by the world's belief system, we are often led astray by upside down beliefs that cloud our minds and hearts. We are told that we are born sinners, tainted from the very beginning, burdened with judgments, guilt, unworthiness, and an overwhelming justified sense of fear. But what if these beliefs and emotions are mere shadows, illusions that keep us from experiencing the true essence of life—God’s Presence?

The ego, our constant companion in this journey, is the master of these illusions. It thrives on the belief that judgments and attack are justified, that punishment is inevitable, and that we are separate from the divine. It teaches us guilt instead of love, and in doing so, perpetuates the insanity that keeps us locked away from the truth.

But the reality is this: God is kindness, not hate. God is love, not fear. God is compassion, not guilt, and God certainly is not the punishment of hell. The presence of God is not a place of fear and retribution, but a sanctuary of peace, love, and infinite grace. So what prevents us from entering this sacred space, from feeling the grace of divine love?

The absence of God's curriculum in our lives is the first barrier. We have allowed the ego's judgmental angry voice to drown out the teachings of kindness, and to replace the truth with a web of lies and deceit. God’s curriculum is simple, pure, and ever-present, yet we have turned away, choosing instead to listen to the ego's endless chatter. We have embraced the ego’s insane belief system that tells us we are unworthy, that we must earn God's love through suffering, lack, struggle and sacrifice.

In reality, nothing could be further from the truth. God’s Presence is always available to us, waiting patiently for us to turn inward and reconnect with the divine. But the world's belief system has built walls around our hearts, convincing us that we must atone for our sins through fear and punishment. These walls are illusionary dreams, constructed by the ego to keep us from experiencing the profound love that is our birthright.

To enter God’s Presence, we must first dismantle these illusions. We must recognize that the ego is not our true self, but a false identity that feeds on guilt, sin, and fear. God’s curriculum teaches us that we are not sinners, but beloved children of the divine. It teaches us that we are not separate from God, but one with Him in love, peace, and joy.

The path to God’s Presence is not one of struggle, but of surrender. In surrendering our fears, our guilt, and our judgments, we open ourselves to the truth that God is love not the punishment of hell. We begin to see that sin is not our true nature, but a construct of the ego meant to keep us in a state of fear, control, limitation and separation. And as we release these false beliefs, we find that God’s Presence is not something we must seek, but something that has always been within us, waiting to be recognized and embraced.
