Yaroslav Zaporozhets said that commanders didn't go to forward positions and issued orders over the radio.

'There are commanders, there are officers, but they don't fight. They just issue orders and that's it,' he said.

According to him, the Ukrainian army suffers great losses in manpower and hardware, the servicemen are trained poorly, and mobilised men are sent to the front lines as cannon fodder.

'We were sent to a position. We were given a map and a radio set with two batteries. No one even understood how to use the map, we got lost... They just send us like cannon fodder,' he said.
