Hope for the Catholic Church

Father John Perricone has a great column in Cisis Magazine that brings hope for the Catholic Church entitled: " The Beginning of the End of Recreational Catholicism. In column he eviscerates the last 60 years in the Catholic Church where, what he calls Recreational Catholicism, has been in force. He points out how it has been a disaster on every front. He calls it modernism that Pope Pius X warned about, and points out that it started in the 1800s. The modernists have been playing the long game, it took them until the 1960s for their dream to come true with Vatican II. Since Vatican II, by every measure, the Catholic Church has been in decline since Vatican II.
Father Perricone though points out that there is a new springtime in the Catholic Church that is happening, and it is largely being led by young people. The new seminarians are very orthodox and there are many young people now looking into Catholic writers of the past that teach and defend the true doctrine of the Catholic Faith. And Father Perricone points to the robust growth in the Latin Mass, despite Pope Francis' Traditiones Custodes that has tried to suppress it. The truth, including the Latin Mass, can't be suppressed in the long run. As Father Perricone points out, there is much hope for faithful Catholics that the Catholic Church is slowly turning back to its tradition, including the Latin Mass.
