NBC26 Storm Shield Weather Forecast

Thursday was was the 10th day of the month with highs in the 80s. It will also be the last day with widespread highs in the 80s for the foreseeable future!! A strong cold front will sweep through the area overnight bringing an end to summer-like conditions we been experiencing. As the front sweeps through our winds will shift to the NNE and bring us more comfortable lows in the upper-50s overnight. Friday will be MUCH cooler than what we've been used to with lower humidity as well. Highs will only make into the 60s to around 70, but gusty NE winds will keep it even cooler near the Lake & Bay. Friday night will be cool and quiet. The weekend won't be a wash, but it looks like the chances of rain will increase as we head through Saturday night. This rain could linger into Sunday. Highs Saturday/Sunday will be in the upper-60s to lower-70s.
