The Beginning of the Separation | What Can Separate Us from the Love of God?

In the quiet depths of our existence, there lies a story as old as time—a story of separation, of a rift that carved its way between the soul and its divine origin. Think on what it means to be separated from the love of God. Think on the illusions the world has built around this teaching of travesty, then imagine the path back to the oneness and love that has always been ours.
This is a tale not just of loss and despair, but of hope, redemption, and the eternal connection that nothing can truly sever. The separation began not with a physical act, but with a thought—an idea the world had that there could be something other than the love of God. A Course in Miracles says, "No one can waken from a dream the world is dreaming for him. He becomes a part of someone else's dream.”

The separation is not a punishment but a misunderstanding, a dream in which we see ourselves as isolated beings, cut off from the divine source that sustains us. It is the origin of every conflict, every fear, every sense of loss we have ever known. Yet, even in this illusion, the truth remains—our connection to God is unbreakable.

In the world of separation, we live under the illusion of the separate mind. When we see ourselves as separate, we see the world as a battlefield, where each must fight for survival, for respect, for love, for meaning. But this is the ego’s deception, a veil that hides the reality of our shared existence.

The body, in this world of separation, is often seen as the ultimate symbol of our individuality—a physical boundary that defines where we end and the world begins. But this, too, is an illusion. The body is not the source of our identity, but a temporary vessel, a teaching aid.

Through the body, we experience the world, but it is through the mind and the soul that we transcend it, returning to the oneness that is our true home. Watch this video to discover what the beginning of the separation was and what will be its end.
