Day 04

So here on day 4 of our ginger bug, we are feeding it. Our yeast is alive, and we have bubbles forming, not a lot, but more are visible. This is a good indication that yeast has formed and fermentation is happening. There is still a lot of room for failure even though we are on day 4 of 4. It could grow mold, it could sour, or anthing is possible.

The point in natural fermentation is to create the right environment to promote growth of a specific yeast, in the wild. This will yield a better, more subtle flavor as opposed to a barm yeast.
