Antilia land sale illegal, says State Waqf Board

The board in its filed before HC says the then chairman and CEO of Waqf Board committed a ‘mischief’ by ratifying the land sale in 2005.

More than 12 years after the ratified the sale of land on which ’s private residence Antilia stands in South Mumbai, the board has termed the sale illegal and sought restoration of the land. It also indicated that the sale ratifi-cation could be politically motivated.
