VB Hosea 2:16 Translating a highly contested verse

The first few chapters of Hosea, at face value, looks to be about adultery and prostitution but this is highly inaccurate according to Strong's Hebrew Dictionary. It's actually about God not wanting to share his rule with pagan idols.
