In this video I'll be showing you downtown Los Angeles and my walk to the Cecil Hotel.

The Cecil Hotel was built in 1924 in the heart of downtown LA and has been the site of multiple murders and suicides with the toll currently at 16 total deceased.
The Cecil Hotel is where Elisa Lam was found deceased. She was found on the roof inside of one of the water tanks. The only evidence of what happened to her was from security footage of her from the elevator. What exactly happened next is still a mystery.
Richard Ramirez stayed at the Cecil Hotel for some time in the 1980s and is where one of his 13 victims was claimed.
Johann Unterweger also stayed at the Cecil Hotel, inspired by Richard Ramirez. Johann Unterweger ended the life of three women at the Cecil Hotel in 1991.
Today the Cecil Hotel is only for private residences. So no, you are no longer able to rent a room for the night.
If I could have rented a room I would have made this video entirely about the Cecil Hotel. But I did enjoy walking through downtown LA on the days I recorded this!
