Woman Totally Flunks Her Disappearing Magic Trick
Ah, the Interwebs. A place where anyone can be everything they want. A politician, a preacher, a philosopher, a mermaid, even a magician. Covered by the shroud of anonymity (for as long as they can), people have been offering the world their own view on things and most of the times, it worked. Butt hat is not what we are here to talk about. Today, we want to discuss people’s need to make complete fools of themselves, all for 5 minutes of Internet glory.
Yes, there are folks out there who are willing to do some pretty ridiculous stuff if that means that the rest of the world will be talking about them, even if it is for a short period of time. It really doesn’t matter, just as long as a video gets viral fame.
Take this one guy for example. Jerry thought that boogie boarding down a sandy slope at the beach will be a fantastic idea! He grabbed his boogie board, gets on it and allows gravity to do the rest. Oh, what a terrible, terrible idea that turned out to be, because poor Jerry ends up faceplanting himself down at the beach. He did manage to shrug it off though!
Some aren’t so lucky. This lady has been practising her disappearing magic trick for so damn long, she thought she had it handled down to the T. Beaming with self-confidence (another thing we would like to talk about a bit later), she sets up her camera, then goes in the doorway, where her prop is waiting for her - a run-of-the-mill blanket.
“I’m going to show you a magic trick. I know how to disappear,” she says in the video. “Right now I’m alone because I’m still practising, but I’m getting better at it.” Her words instil a bit of confidence in us, thinking that maybe she knows what she is doing. From what we can tell, there are no trapdoors in the floor and since it is an amateur video, we were hoping for at least some bad video editing. Oh, how wrong we were.
She pulls the blanket over her head, waves it a bit and then tosses it to the ground, but there is one problem. We can see her feet as she prepares herself to jump to the side, away from the doorway. When the prop drops to the ground, the woman’s feet are still visible at the door, as she tries to wiggle out of the shot. Oh, boy…
Still, it’s the thought that counts.
People may not be fooled as easily. But have you tried performing a trick like this on your dog? One guy did and the result was adorably spectacular! The guy tells his dog to sit opposite a doorway, while he holds up a blanket next to the open door. The owner throws the blanket up in the air and by the time the blanket falls to the ground, the human is nowhere to be seen. The pooch was so startled by this disappearing magic trick, it began frantically looking for his owner. Poor pup.
