Pope Francis Says Both Harris & Trump Are “Against Life”

Pope Francis has said that US Presidential candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are “against life”. He advised Catholics to “choose the lesser of two evils” ahead of the upcoming US elections in November. The pontiff compared Hariss’ stance on abortion to “assassination”. He has frequently criticised abortion, which is forbidden in Catholic teachings. The US Vice President and Democrat Presidential candidate Harris has promised to restore abortion rights for women. Pope also said that not welcoming migrants is a “grave” sin, while referring to Trump's anti-immigrants stand. In 2016, the Pope labelled Trump as “not Christian” for his anti-migrant policies. The Republican presidential candidate Trump has vowed to crack down on illegal immigration. Pope’s remarks followed his 12-day tour to Asia-Pacific. He talked to journalists onboard the papal plane while returning from Singapore. The 87-year-old has concluded his longest trip in duration and distance.
