Teamsters Union Declines To Endorse Presidential Candidate, Delivering Blow To Harris
The International Brotherhood of Teamsters publicly releasing six months of membership polling data on who union members preferred, showing that President Donald Trump beat out Kamala Harris by a whopping 58 to 31%
However, Union leaders decided not to endorse either candidate. Unions notoriously endorse Democrats in each election so many are now saying this is indeed a blow to Harris, and are questioning Sean O’Brian’s statement when he said there was no definitive data showing union members support one candidate over the other – in light of the polling data released on Wednesday.
President Donald Trump responded to their decision saying 'Its a great honor.'
The last time a union did not endorse a presidential candidate was in 1996 – during the second Bill Clinton Election due to NAFTA
