Posted • September 18, 2024: Per the Nassau County Police Department Facebook page, police are questioning a person "who may have been training a bomb detection dog near the site" and "falsely reported explosives being found." -- Statement from Nassau County PD Commissioner Patrick Ryder: ”Reports of explosives being found at the site are unfounded. There is a person who is being questioned who may have been training a bomb detection dog near the site. The individual with the bomb dog falsely reported explosives being found and that individual is currently being detained by the police.”

On Long Island — Trump supporters lining up 12 hours before a rally with the former president at the Nassau Coliseum. The parking lot was closed overnight for a security sweep. (…)
