August 23, 1989 - Montreal Expos Mascot Youppi Ejected From Game

In the game with the Los Angeles Dodgers at Montreal’s Olympic Stadium, the Expos' Youppi became the first mascot to be thrown out of a game when Dodgers manager Tommy Lasorda complained to the umpires about the hairy orange giant's behavior. Third base umpire Bob Davidson ejects Youppi in the 11th inning.
