Muhammad’s sinful and morally questionable actions are clear from both the Quran and Hadith. The Quran itself shows that he was far from perfect, as he had to repeatedly seek forgiveness for his sins, both past and future. The verses (Quran 40:55 and Quran 47:19) explicitly mention him asking Allah to forgive his transgressions. Such a flawed figure cannot lead humanity toward salvation​. Islam even allows perverse actions like the sexual exploitation of women captured in battle (Sahih Muslim, Book 17, Hadith 41).
