Clash of the Titans! (part 4) Revenge of the Mechanical Dog

Hernando County, FL Board of County Commission (BOCC) Budget Hearing 9-12-24 part 4: The Sheriff began his last appearance with a giant sigh (see part 1). Here he slogs through all the wonderful things the Sheriff's Department does for the County.

It is clearly a burden on this poor man to operate under the constraints of a budget, even when overseen by the likes of authoritarian provincial poohbahs, like Brian Hawkins and Jerry Campbell, who love more control. At minimum, the Sheriff clearly needs at least one additional 'mechanical dog' operator. Perhaps the County should purchase an updated version of the 'mechanical dog' and retire the old one as a back up house pet for the Sheriff.

Re: Commissioner Hawkins, he is a bright guy, but believes himself to be a lot more knowledgeable than he actually is. As the current standard bearer of the local Republican Party, it is his job to sell the RINO (Republican in Name Only) Agenda to the little people and he's the only local RINO with an IQ that may reach triple, so he gets the job. As the old saying goes, ‘In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is King!”

It's not about Republicans vs Democrats folks. It's about 'We the People' and neither party has us in mind, whether locally or Nationally.
