The High Priest was the best picture the Hebrew church could use to comprehend what Jesus did on the cross through His sacrifice, blood atonement, and remission of sins. Through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, we have a new covenant containing the law of love in place of the law of sin and death, life in the place of death, and righteousness instead of condemnation. All of which makes Jesus the only guide who can usher us into the presence of God! Hallelujah!
