NO BAD APPLES:
According to a report, Apple doesn’t allow bad guys to be seen using their products, such as iPhones and iPads, in TV, film or ads. While the policy is not explicitly written in Apple’s Guidelines for Using Apple Trademarks and Copyrights, the document states that “the Apple product is shown only in the best light, in a manner or context that reflects favorably on the Apple products”. The guidelines also state, “You may not use an Apple trademark or any other Apple-owned graphic symbol, logo, or icon in a disparaging manner.
REAL NEWS ABOUT FAKE NEWS:
Children in England will be taught how to spot “fake news” as part of a planned overhaul of the school curriculum. The perils of online misinformation were brought into the spotlight earlier this month when false information helped to fuel violent, far-right riots across the UK. As a result, Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson announced: “It’s more important than ever that we give young people the knowledge and skills to be able to challenge what they see online.” The curriculum review is intended to develop plans to “embed critical skills in lessons to arm our children against the disinformation, fake news and putrid conspiracy theories awash on social media.”
WHAT PEOPLE WANT TO KILL MOST:
According to Google Trends, these are the most-common internet searches by people in the US over the past 2 decades, that begin with “How to kill…”
❑ Ants
❑ Fleas
❑ Flies
❑ Bed Bugs
❑ Fruit Flies
❑ Lice
❑ Gnats
❑ Bees
❑ Roaches
❑ Mites
OK, all pretty benign stuff, right? But also appearing on the list, although quite a way down, are: Lobster, mockingbirds, time and chillingly “someone”.
