🔴🔵WORLD MARKETS: The Russian Central Bank has announced that by July 1, 2025, major Russian banks will be required to enable their customers to conduct transactions using digital rubles. Currently, pilot testing is in progress, with 12 banks participating. The digital ruble is a digital form of the national currency, represented as a unique digital code or token stored in digital wallets on a platform managed by the Central Bank. The bank's goal is to offer the digital ruble as an additional payment method alongside existing options.
