Shattered Beliefs

It's a workout Wednesday and today we complete our series on popular beliefs and whether I believe them or not. It's funny that I didn't come up with a decent title for this series until it was almost over. But since I don't think I did a very good job of the presentations, (a couple of them got impressive "view" counts), I may do a follow up. At least I have a name.

The whole point of the series, which may have gotten lost along the way, is how beliefs are embedded into our psyches early in life and they become a part of us to the point that even when we start to experience evidence that these beliefs were lies and have never been true, we can become so uncomfortable, that we'd rather hold on to the lies. I suspect that a lot of Israelis and American Jews are feeling that way these days, but they dare not express it.

Anyway, maybe we'll go off in that direction at some point.

We have an update on the leg injury. We tramp down to the Monkey Bars for another therapy session, and we've dug up a few more clips from Season 2 of this series, in or about the Spring/Summer of 2021. My outlook on the world/simulation has changed slightly. I'd say "improved." However some of the thoughts I had back then are still valid and seem to have become more valid as we've watched the world go round.

Speaking of "world" did you ever hear that the word "world" is actually the work "whirled?" I think I heard it long ago and forgot it, until recently. I heard again from a different source. Do you think the world is called such because it whirls? More sneaky obscuring of the lingo.

Wait til you figure out what "gift" means. You'll realize how redundant "gifted" is. Ha ha.

We reached our bare hands deadlift goal, (350 lbs) and now we have several Dl goals in mind; repping 295-315 bare hands, and pulling 410 with wraps. That should keep us busy for a while. We were hipped to oscillation reps, (which we knew by another name) so we started adding them. Monkey Bars work is amazing though challenging. And we started something else, but that's coming later.
