Reading the Bible This Year-1st Samuel 8-Israel Wants a King

1 Samuel 8 is about Israel wanting a King even though Samuel tells the people they will be enslaved if they have a King. God tells Samuel to give the people what they want. Samuel appoints Saul as the King and God told the people what would happen but they wanted to be like everyone else-all the other nations had a King. The people suffered and lessons should have been learned.
