New features of iOS 18 include:

Home Screen
- Flexibly arrange app icons and widgets anywhere on the Home Screen, including along the bottom or sides.
- Dark icons can match Dark Mode or remain dark.
- Apply custom colors to icons and widgets, or let iOS suggest colors that complement your wallpaper.
- Larger icons option enlarges icons and widgets, removing text labels.

Photos
- Major redesign of the Photos app with a unified view and automatic organization into Collections by topic.
- Customize Collections by reordering, adding, or removing rows, and create Pinned Collections for easy access.
- Groups in People and Pets show photos of favorite individuals or pets together.
- Trips organizes travel photos, and Recent Days shows photos by day.
- Filter button reduces clutter by media type or hides screenshots.
- Video speed control adjusts high frame rate videos, and Utilities include new collections like Documents and Receipts.
- Recovered album reveals hidden images due to database issues.

Messages
- Satellite messaging (iPhone 14 and later) allows communication without cellular/Wi-Fi by connecting to satellites.
- Text effects and formatting add animations and styles to messages.
- Emoji and sticker Tapbacks for quick reactions, and Send Later schedules messages.
