Oct. 17, 1964 - Quarterback Bob Timberlake was stopped one yard short of the end zone on a two-point conversion try that enabled Purdue to upset fifth-ranked Michigan, 21-20, today, handing the Wolverines their first loss in four games. The victory was the third in four starts for Purdue and upped the Boilermakers’ Big Ten record to 2-0. Michigan has a 1-1 league mark.
