Joshua 1-Even though Rahab was a harlot, lied and lived in a Pagan culture; she was still blessed.

Josh 2:6
But she had brought them up to the roof and hidden them in the stalks of flax which she had laid in order on the roof.

Now we come to the quandary. We know that lying is wrong and is a sin (Prov. 12:22, 6:16-17, Psalm 5:6). It also appears that Elohim blessed Rahab for her actions (Hebrews 11:31, James 2:25). She is even included in the line to the Messiah (Matt. 1:5-6). Was Elohim approving the lying of Rahab? This has caused critics of Scripture to claim that Elohim condones an "end justifies the means" mentality when it is convenient. That is absurd of course. The fact is, Rahab is not blessed because she lived in a pagan culture. She is not blessed because she was a prostitute and she was not blessed because she lied. She was blessed IN SPITE OF those things. The ensuing verses show that she had a heart for Elohim and she was willing to risk her life to demonstrate that.
Josh 1:8
"This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.

The Book of the Law is not to depart from our mouths. We are to meditate on it day and night (Psalm 1:1-3).

Elohim promises in several places of Scripture that we will prosper in His hand if we are obedient. (Prov. 2:1-5, 3:1-2, Matt. 7:21-23, Luke 11:27-28, John 13:15-17, 14:21, Matt. 6:31-33).

Scripture is clear. If we want success and prosperity, do not be concerned with the riches of this world. Concern yourself with the Kingdom of Elohim and His righteousness, and all the things you need will be provided to you.

Josh 1:15
until the LORD gives your brothers rest, as He gives you, and they also possess the land which the LORD your God is giving them. Then you shall return to your own land, and possess that which Moses the servant of the LORD gave you beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise."

THEY SHALL NOT ENTER MY REST. That means they are not going to enter My Kingdom. Heb 3:9-11, 3:17-19, 4:1-11

They shall not enter My rest. That means they shall not enter My Kingdom.
