Senator Roger Marshall (R-KS) suggested on Friday that a Senate investigation has been launched into possible collusion between ABC News and Kamala Harris’ campaign in last Tuesday’s presidential debate.

There are suspicions that Harris had prior knowledge of the debate questions due to her unusually well-prepared responses.

ABC News has denied providing Harris with the questions beforehand, amid calls for an internal investigation. Former Clinton advisor Mark Penn has urged for a third-party review of ABC's internal communications to determine if the network intentionally favored Harris. On the "John Solomon Reports" podcast, Penn stated, "I think an independent review of their texts and emails should be conducted to find out if they were planning to fact-check just one candidate, effectively rigging the debate."

Concerns had already surfaced regarding Harris’ connections, particularly with a Disney executive who oversees ABC News. It was later revealed that Harris and moderator Linsey Davis are both members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., a potential conflict of interest that wasn’t disclosed. The sorority formed a PAC in August after Harris became the Democratic presidential nominee.

Following the debate, Linsey Davis admitted during an interview that she, fellow moderator David Muir, and ABC coordinated to shield Harris by selectively fact-checking her opponent. While Donald Trump was fact-checked repeatedly, Harris' falsehoods and evasions were ignored.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Senator Marshall stated, "I will be sending a letter to ABC and the Harris Campaign demanding all correspondence, records, and any potential coordination between the two parties ahead of Tuesday’s debate."
